The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization yesterday launched the 2014 edition of the State of the World’s Forests. Focusing on the socioeconomic benefits derived from forests, the report shows that the benefits are often not adequately addressed in forest and other relevant policies, despite their enormous potential to contribute to poverty reduction, rural development and greener economies. Read more
