UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon convened the Climate Summit 2014 at a crucial time, as climate change is disrupting national economies and affecting lives. Eradicating poverty and restructuring the global economy to hold global temperature rise below 2 degrees Celsius are goals that – acted on together – can provide prosperity and security for this and future generations.
