In 2012, the heads of State and Government and high level representatives met at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil where they renewed their commitment to sustainable development and to ensure the promotion of economically, socially and environmentally sustainable future for our planet and for present and future generations.

Daily development interviewed H.E. Ms. Dho Young-shim, Chairperson of the UN World Tourism Organization’s Sustainable Tourism for Eliminating Poverty (ST-EP) Foundation, to see how tourism contributes to the economic, social and environmental dimensions of the sustainable development and what other cross-cutting aspects are being addressed in ST-EP activities at the same time.
